Rudy Boyer - À propos de Nice
Rudy Boyer - À propos de Nice
Zine #43
Nice is the city where I was born and raised. A seaside town in the south of France, every summer swarms of tourists arrive and rush to the pebble beaches of the famous Promenade des Anglais. Nice is not a big city and the nerve center is its old town. There is also the sun and this light, which are part of life and it is with these elements that my images are built for the most part. I really started to take pictures of the city at the same time that my passion for photography was growing and what better playground than the street to improve my experience. I spent a lot of time walking these boulevards, avenues and alleys, to look for interest where there is none, trying to create images that are only in my mind. From the tiniest aesthetic crumb to the odd scenes, I wandered, searched and scrutinized, often waiting for nothing. But sometimes there is that moment that we like to feel, the feeling that something can happen, some kind of excitement before the shutter clicks. What guides me above all is pleasure, without pleasure there are no photos.
